Pediatric Eye Evaluation
Monitoring your child's vision is important for developing eyes even at an early age. Learning skills are dependent on binocular vision, eye alignment, and ability to see images clear from a distance. This helps to ensure the child's success in the environment around them, including school. All children get a basic vision screening at their pediatrician in the first few years of life using a "photoscreener". While helpful to determine any possible need for glasses, it is still worthwhile to get a comprehensive exam.
Most children will not know they have a visual issue until they are much older and can verbalize their concerns. If you have suspicion about the visual needs of your child, please call us to schedule a pediatric eye exam. We see children ages 5 and up at our location.
